COVER DAY MEETING
This was pretty gooood.
Yesterday there was this big event; The National Cover Event 2012 in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
I enjoyed listening to a jam-packed programme and did a little talk myself. Afterwards good times with with ace designers Richard Turley (middle) from Bloomberg Businessweek and Jeremy Leslie (right) from fab MagCulture
Like that wasn’t enough, also Intermediair won PRIX DE C’OEUVRE for their entire catalog of covers! It’s the mag i was working for like 8 years (since last month), congrats to their whole team!

I just experienced National Cover Dayin the Netherlands and this was a blast, not only get to hear speakers as Mirko Borsche, Richard Turley, Patrick Waterhouse and Jeremy Leslie (and had a fun diner afterwards:)
But some excitement here cause Intermediair Magazine won the PRIX DE C’OEUVRE judge award, a corpus (!) best cover design over the last few years… pretty big thing for me cause i art directed this one for the last 8 years :D

But also some celebration here cause Linda Magazine won the PRIX DE C’OEUVRE people choice award in best cover design over the last few years. Congrats to them, so deserved!
Linda is a magazine founded by Linda de Mol, a popular tv personality in The Netherlands, It’s one of the most popular magazines. Each month she’s starring on the cover of her own magazine.
